From No Idea to a Ready Brand Identity

No logo, no colours, no idea yet? Copy one prompt from Sleepy into Claude or ChatGPT and design your text border, brand colours, font and texture in a single chat, with a live preview the whole way. Paste the result into Sleepy and every video carries your identity, with seasonal versions ready for Halloween, Christmas or your next launch.

🎨 What you will end up with

Most people stall on branding because they have to decide everything at once, alone, with no preview. This workflow fixes that: an AI asks you the questions, shows you every idea live, and hands you something Sleepy can use straight away.

By the end of one chat you will have:

  • A text border that is unmistakably yours: outlines, glows, shadows or a 3D block.
  • Brand colours that Sleepy picks up automatically when you paste.
  • A font that suits the border, free and properly licensed.
  • A texture for the letters, if you want one.
  • Seasonal versions of the same look, ready for the moments you post about.
No idea yet? Perfect. You don't need one to start: the AI asks what you do, who you talk to and how you want to feel, then proposes looks for you to react to.

Custom borders work on every plan, including Free. Uploading your own font or texture is available from the Starter plan up.

📋 Step 1: copy the design prompt

Copy it right here:

That prompt teaches the AI exactly what Sleepy can draw, so what it shows you in the chat is what you will get in the video. You will paste it into a chat in the next step.

Where the result goes

At the end of the chat the AI gives you a short block of CSS. In Sleepy, paste it here:

  1. Open the generator and switch to Custom settings.
  2. Open Styling, and in the Typography part find Border Style.
  3. Choose Custom CSS at the bottom of the list.
  4. Paste the CSS into Your border CSS.

The same Copy design prompt button is also there in the generator, under Custom CSS.

💬 Step 2: design your look in a chat

Paste the prompt into a new chat in Claude or ChatGPT. Both work; in our tests Claude was the most practical for a full design session, and it handles the font and texture steps especially well.

The AI will ask what kind of edge you want. Answer like you would to a designer:

"I run a small coffee roastery. Warm, a bit retro, friendly but not childish."
"Gaming channel, loud and electric, has to pop on dark gameplay."

It builds a live preview showing the word SLEEPY on a dark background, a white one and a busy one, so you can judge readability everywhere your videos will go. Keep refining with plain requests like "thicker", "less glow" or "make the outline my brand colour" until you love it.

Two choices the AI will ask you about:

  • Sharp or soft edges. The font decides first: pointed letters give a crisp edge, rounded letters always look soft. The AI will suggest fonts that match the look you want.
  • Colours that follow your brand, or locked colours. Following means the border takes your brand colours in Sleepy. Locked keeps exactly the colours you designed on every screen, which suits a fixed palette such as a holiday look.

When you are happy, say it is done. The AI replies with a short block of CSS: that is your border.

🔤 Step 3: pick a font and a texture

Once the border is done, the AI offers to help with the rest of your look. Say yes: this is where a border turns into an identity.

  • Font. It suggests 2 or 3 free, properly licensed fonts that suit the border and tells you where to download them. Heavy display weights read best on video.
  • Texture. It designs, or describes precisely so you can generate, a square image that tiles seamlessly, for the faces of your letters. Calm patterns keep words readable.

Upload both from the + menu in Sleepy, using Upload fonts and Text textures (Starter plan and up). They are separate from the border, so you can swap one without touching the others.

📥 Step 4: paste it into Sleepy

Back in Sleepy, paste the CSS into Your border CSS (Custom settings → Styling → Border Style → Custom CSS). Three things happen right away:

  1. Your brand colours are set from the design. If the border uses brand colours, Sleepy fills them in with the ones you chose in the chat. Change them anytime and the border follows.
  2. A preview appears on a dark and a light background, using your font when Sleepy can show it in the browser.
  3. It is ready to render. Write your prompt and generate: every screen of the video now carries your border.
The preview is drawn by your browser, so the video can look slightly different, mostly at the corners of the outline, which Sleepy rounds by default.

🎃 Step 5: seasonal versions

Stay in the same chat and ask for versions of your look for the moments you post about: Halloween, Christmas, Black Friday, summer or a product launch. The AI keeps the same edge structure, so it still looks like you, and changes the colours (and texture, if you like) to fit the occasion. Holiday palettes usually work best with locked colours.

Each version comes as its own labelled block of CSS. Keep them together in a note, and switching your whole look for the season takes one paste.

✅ Tips and troubleshooting

  • "This doesn't look like the CSS from the prompt." You probably pasted part of the chat instead of the final CSS block. Ask the AI for "only the final CSS" and paste that.
  • Pasted a whole HTML page? That is fine. Sleepy only uses the border rules inside it.
  • The video used the default 3D border. Nothing in the paste drew an edge, so Sleepy fell back to its default instead of failing. The preview tells you this before you render.
  • Corners look softer than in the chat. That is Sleepy's rounded default. Ask the AI for sharp corners, and pick a font with pointed letters.
  • The colour changes between screens. Your border follows your brand colours, which Sleepy can vary across a video. Ask the AI to lock the colours if you want them fixed.
